H&M’s grown-up sister brand Cos opened its very first store on Regent Street in 2007 and you’ll still find its flagship in the same spot today. The brand now has almost 300 stores globally. Focusing on seasonless designs with enduring quality, this branch carries collections for women, men and kids. Its minimalist styles celebrate straight-line silhouettes, a neutral colour palette and sparse use of subtle print. Cos stands for “collections of style” and it’s clear to see why with this curated selection of desirable basics that help shoppers find an everyday wardrobe that’s cool, elegant, and zero-fuss. There’s also a small range of home and lifestyle products such as candles, books, vases and toiletries to make your home as chic as your outfits.
The Cos range includes clothing, accessories, shoes, bags and jewellery with a focus on lux fabrics such as cashmere, leather and wool. You’ll also find sustainable fabrics including organic cotton, yak wool and recycled silver.
The brand has a strong affiliation with the art, architecture and creative disciplines and collaborates with galleries, artists and designers, as well as featuring them in their magazine, to support the sector. The 5,300 square feet store on Regent Street, split on two levels, is, itself, an homage to design. A bright and airy space with a Scandinavian vibe, the pale wooden floors and matching staircase add warmth to white walls and metal clothes rails bend into archways throughout the store for a cool, geometric twist. Need a breather? Take a seat on the mid-century modern-inspired sofas and armchairs and flip through a coffee table book.
