The good, costumes were stunning, visual effects were good! Rafiki stole the show, amazing voice!! I actually laughed at some of the jokes (Timone and Pumba were funny) The bad, unfortunately, little Simba just could not sing or act, and kept doing a weird jumping stance on the stage which was annoying! Adult Simba, was not the best, week vocals and just didn’t seem to have that ‘lead character appeal’ Also people around us were constantly talking and a kid behind us kept kicking the chair and moaning that he wanted to go home! We had to ask the parent to stop him kicking the chair! I think they should do kid only viewings, cause when you pay that much for a ticket, you should be able to enjoy the show!! Overall, I really liked it, and worth seeing, Tina the musical is still number one though:) read less

Pour les grands ... et les petits ... mais sans les petits c'est encore mieux pour apprécier cette fabuleuse expérience. 😉Placement : STALLS R- 27 et 28 (photo) read less

Only thing that let it down was front of house, I like to drink brandy, “we don’t sell brandy” sell everything else but not brandy, “okay then I’ll have coffee please”, “we have no coffee “. For such an iconic venue this area was very poor but didn’t let this detract from the main experience, the show was perfect. read less

Costumes, make up and puppetry are amazing. 4 stars as I felt the production of a couple of the songs could have been better and the performance/ acting surrounding some of the key moments eg Mufasa/Scar deaths and the transition from young to adult Simba could have had more of an impact.Very glad we went to see it though and enjoyed it overall ! read less

We went to the matinee. Had seats in the stalls. V expensive! Also paid an additional £1 for the booster seat, as previous experience with children has taught me they really need this especially in the stalls. The show was fabulous. The puppetry and costumes are just splendid! There is an entrance of the animals through the stalls and up to the stage so that was extra special to see some of the workings close up and in detail. The singing was okay. The dancing is okay. The show has been on long enough for the performance to be totally fine-tuned and the performers were clearly on the mark. I know they worked hard. The area was clean. The restrooms are clean and loads of ushers are all polite and helpful. As this was a matinee in the school holidays it was packed with children. I felt it was treated like a panto. Audience responding whether encouraged to or not. Although children under four are discouraged from attending there were several tiny babes in arms present, one in front of us who required to leave the seat with the adult frequently and it took ages for the great big hulk of a parent to sit down when they returned to the seats. Annoying! Popcorn was everywhere including the floor, and the smell nauseating! My 10 y.o guest enjoyed the performance but said they found the audience noisy. read less
