About The Show
This lauded supernatural thriller perpetuates its astonishing journey, reappearing at the Gielgud Theatre this summer.
After conquering five unprecedented seasons at the Noël Coward, Gielgud, Criterion, The Lyric Theatre, and The Apollo Theatre, and currently drawing sold-out crowds across the UK, this celebrated new play has emerged as the UK’s quintessential theatre experience.
“2:22 – A Ghost Story,” penned by the award-winning scribe Danny Robins, the mastermind behind the acclaimed BBC podcast “The Battersea Poltergeist,” is helmed by directors Matthew Dunster and Isabel Marr. A masterful blend of humour and enigma, “2:22 A Ghost Story” delivers an electrifying evening where veiled truths are unveiled and phantoms might manifest. What convictions do you hold? And are you bold enough to unearth the reality?
Jenny is convinced that her new abode is inhabited by spectres, but her husband Sam remains a staunch sceptic. Tensions rise as they entertain their inaugural dinner guests, old confidante Lauren and her new companion Ben. Is it possible for the deceased to traverse back into the realm of the living? As belief collides with doubt, an eerie and unnerving sensation encroaches, drawing ever nearer. Thus, they resolve to stay awake until 2:22… and then they shall discover the verity.
