Dear England

Dear England, the smash-hit production is set to conquer the West End this autumn. After running for weeks sold-out at the National Theatre, James Graham’s astute writing and Rupert Goold’s legendary direction is now ready for show again. This “thrilling” new play tells the story of England’s doomed struggle to win at their own game. After years of pain and disappointment, England manager Gareth Southgate, pitch-perfectly performed by Joseph Fiennes, must face the music and lead his Lions and country back to glory. With the burdenous title of worst penalty taker in the world, Southgate knows that he must evolve his approach and mindset to succeed in the cutthroat world of international football.

Against the backdrop of Es Devlin’s stunning set design, Dear England portrays the rollercoaster journey of English football, from the ‘goal-den’ glory days of ’66 to the more recent bitter disappointments. This stage production’s vivid characterisation and epic storyline will leave audiences enlightened, entertained, and passionate about playing football! If you are eager to experience the electrifying buzz of live theatre at its finest, don’t miss your shot to catch Dear England when it lands in London’s West End this autumn. Get ready to tackle your emotions and become part of the action as you witness England’s national football team’s legendary highs and dreary lows.
