Olivier, Tony &
Oscar-winning show

Lionel Bart’s Oliver! is one of the towering achievements of British musical theatre — a show that has delighted audiences for more than 60 years and shows no sign of losing its grip. This acclaimed new production from Cameron Mackintosh, fully reconceived with the visionary director and choreographer Matthew Bourne, brings fresh energy and imagination to a story the whole world knows and loves.

Based on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, the show follows young Oliver — a workhouse orphan who runs away to London and falls in with the roguish Artful Dodger, finding a strange kind of family among Fagin’s gang of young pickpockets. It is a story about belonging, survival and the search for kindness in a city that doesn’t always offer it.

“Food, glorious food — and gloriously entertaining theatre. Oliver! remains one of the great British musicals.”

Simon Lipkin leads the company as Fagin, with Shanay Holmes as Nancy, Aaron Sidwell as the menacing Bill Sikes, and Billy Jenkins as the irrepressible Artful Dodger. Matthew Bourne’s choreography brings his trademark wit and theatrical flair to a production that feels entirely fresh while honouring the score’s extraordinary legacy.

The songs — Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, As Long As He Needs Me, I’d Do Anything — are among the most beloved in the entire musical theatre canon. Whether you’re discovering Oliver! for the first time or returning to an old favourite, this production is the definitive version for a new generation. Book your tickets today.
