The only standalone UK store for Swiss jeweller de Grisogono resides at 15a New Bond Street. Driven by daring creativity, expect jewellery and timepieces with a bolder, more contemporary edge.
Sophia Loren and Sharon Stone are fans of the brand that often takes an irreverent approach to high jewellery. Founder Fawaz Gruosi has been one of the champions of black diamonds, often ignored by other diamond specialists, embracing their ability to create more unique designs. Gruosi once said in an interview, “My vision has always been to shock the market and shock the clients, in keeping and showing the talent of the company and the immense variety we have.” As part of their commitment to pushing boundaries, de Grisogono runs a creativity in residence programme inviting external artists to partner with the brand and explore new possibilities.
In 2017, de Grisogono’s passion for extravagance reached new heights when their Creation 1 necklace broke the record for a D colour, flawless diamond fetching $33.7million at auction. The emerald cut diamond was a staggering 163.41 carats.
Nods to the brand’s signature styles can be found in the décor of the New Bond Street store, designed by celebrated interior architects David Collins Studio. From the black marble floor, inspired by their use of black diamonds, with a pear drop pattern similar to the briolette cut of some of the brands best loved pieces and pops of gem colours, opulence is all around you. The boutique includes a room dedicated to men’s watches and a ‘grande sala’ for VIP guests.
