In addition to this, here is a short message of thanks to the theatre staff from my mum:

My son and I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff of this theatre who so kindly rescued me when I was overcome with a vertigo attack as I attempted to sit up in the ‘Gods’. My son helped me get behind the back seats, where I felt able to stand and watch the first half. During the interval your wonderful staff arranged for alternative stalls seating for us both, so I was able to enjoy the amazing performance of ‘Life of Pi’. We wanted to thank the lady afterwards, but we couldn’t find her. Bless her for her kindness.
Yours gratefully,
Mrs J Elliott.

Such a creative production and so entertaining to watch.
The theatre itself is ok - quite small. Had stall seats (Row K) seats are not very comfy and you do feel like you're packed in a little. The queuing system could be a little clearer too.
Other than that, I would thoroughly recommend the show and it was a lovely night out.

It was a Saturday evening and we reached around 7.00 PM at the theatre. We had not booked tickets but decided to try our luck at the Box office. We were lucky to have managed 2 tickets in the Grand Circle just in time. It was a relatively a small in size theatre but nicely done up. The show was also top class and we really enjoyed. Overall a good visit to a good theatre to see a good show. Highly recommended. read less

The sound was spot on, lighting was beautifully executed and the puppetry was sensational. Great actors and actresses who really know their knowledge and spent years in their trade to perfect their skills. Very well done!

The staff at the Wyndhams Theatre were polite and well organised and didn't make you feel like just a number so it made the experience even better.

Thank you and I certainty recommend this production. Very well put together :).

The set & stage design is genius & the puppetry incredible. Lead actor, Hiran Abeysekera could not be more suited to the role of Pi (despite being considerably older than 17), he gives an outstanding performance. read less

Featuring four tiers of seating, we were up in the Royal Circle, with a great view of the stage below.

My friends and I came to watch Life of Pi adapted from the novel by Yann Martel published in 2001. Did you know that the book the rejected by five publishers before it was accepted by a publisher Knopf Canada. To date it has sold over ten million copies worldwide.

I first read the book 20 years ago and loved the story, a totally original and mesmerizing tale. A philosophical perspective on the relativity of truth viewed from the eyes of a 16 boy Pi and his encounters with other members of the human and animal kingdom.

The play is a wonderful adaptation of the novel in simplicity and complexity on all levels. A very energetic, clever and dynamic production, the stage sets, puppetry and projections onto the surfaces were amazingly beautiful and very effective. I was transported into a world that felt both real and surreal at the same time.

If I had to use one word to describe the play it would be "Magical". The cast were all superb, displaying great emotional depth, vulnerability and passion. The must see show of 2021 and 2022. Go book your tickets and treat yourself, the perfect show to celebrate the end of 2021, or start 2022 with. Go unleash your hidden tiger within! Rrrgghh.
