Novikov is a three-in-one Asian restaurant, Italian restaurant and lively bar lounge situated on Berkeley Street. The brainchild of famed Russian restaurateur Arkady Novikov, it opened in 2012, the first of his forays into the London dining scene.
The Asian restaurant serves dim sum, sushi, noodles and charcoal grill dishes in front of an open kitchen on orchid-laden, bamboo furniture. Inspired by Eastern food markets, fresh vegetables in woven baskets and seafood is displayed in between the guests and chefs hard at work.
A wholly different experience can be had in the Italian restaurant. A rustic, villa-like scene is set from which to enjoy fresh burrata, sea bass carpaccio, 30-month aged Parma ham, veal ravioli and more. The elegant chandeliers, suede wall panelling, and wood-fired oven create a warm and inviting atmosphere with a hint of luxury.
The restaurants grow their own micro herbs, salads and vegetables in Suffolk, at a two-acre, Victorian walled garden. The produce is picked and delivered to Mayfair within a few hours, serving it to diners at its freshest and finest.
The Novikov Lounge, a Russian drinking den, completes the trinity. With DJs playing seven nights a week, the good times, and the vodka, are always flowing. Order their signature martini and splash out on the house caviar, or, if you’re feeling peckish, a selection from the Asian and Italian restaurants can be ordered.
For those finding themselves inspired, Italian cooking classes are held throughout the year, teaching you to put together a classic menu to restaurant quality. The class lasts a whole day and includes lunch at Novikov with a wine pairing from the sommelier. A number of other events are hosted throughout the year, including seasonal parties in the Lounge.
If you’re looking to celebrate something yourself, the team can assist you with private dining options or a set menu for large groups of diners to ensure your experience goes smoothly, whether you have your heart set on Italian or Asian.
