About the show

Heathers is back, and demand is fierce. The high-octane, pitch-black rock musical inspired by the cult 1988 movie arrives in London to launch The Arts at Marble Arch, playing a strictly limited run of just 52 performances from 9 July 2026.

At Westerberg High, where climbing the social ladder can feel like a life-or-death sport, seventeen-year-old Veronica Sawyer is just another overlooked face longing for something better. Everything changes when the school’s untouchable trio - three dazzling queen bees who all happen to share the name Heather - suddenly adopt her as one of their own. Then the brooding, unpredictable new boy JD walks in, and Veronica’s glittering new life tips headlong into chaos.

Named Best New Musical at the WhatsOnStage Awards, Heathers the Musical has a book, music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy, drawn from the screenplay by Daniel Waters, and is staged by director Andy Fickman with choreography by Gary Lloyd. For 52 performances only, do not miss this gleefully wicked hit. Book your tickets now.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. It is drawn from the cult 1988 dark comedy that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, and it keeps the film's pitch-black humour while turning it into a high-energy rock musical with a devoted following.

Very. Behind the big pop-rock numbers is a blackly comic story that takes in bullying, teen suicide and murder, along with strong language and adult themes. It is satirical rather than gratuitous, but it is firmly pitched at ages fourteen and up.

No. The show stands on its own, and its anthems, such as 'Candy Store' and 'Dead Girl Walking', are so beloved by fans that plenty of the audience already knows them from the musical rather than the movie.

It has a cult fanbase, a set of huge singalong rock anthems and, this time, a strictly limited run of just 52 performances at a brand-new venue. That combination means tickets tend to go quickly.

It is a brand-new, intimate venue, so you are close to the high-octane action wherever you sit, with the centre giving the fullest view. You can compare every price band when you pick your seats above.
