About the show

Created and directed by Channing Tatum and inspired by his hit films, Magic Mike Live is one of London’s most popular nights out, playing in a purpose-built, intimate space at the Hippodrome Casino by Leicester Square. A long-running favourite that has welcomed hundreds of thousands of guests, it has become a byword for the ultimate girls’ night out.

The show tears up the rulebook of the films to put the audience at the centre of the action, surrounded on all sides. Expect jaw-dropping choreography, sky-high acrobatics, live singing and a whole lot of charm, performed by a cast of exceptionally talented dancers and delivered with a knowing wink. It is playful, polished and designed to be a party.

Why it’s worth the watch

Magic Mike Live has become a fixture for a reason. Here is what makes it a standout night out:

  • The talent. The performers are serious dancers and acrobats, and the choreography is genuinely impressive rather than just cheeky.
  • The setting. A purpose-built room at the Hippodrome puts the action right around you, close and immersive.
  • The atmosphere. With live vocals, cocktails and a party energy, it is built for a celebration or a big night with friends.
  • The polish. Created by Channing Tatum himself, it is slicker and more theatrical than you might expect.
  • Operating Since 2015

Frequently asked questions

It is a live dance and acrobatics show rather than a play with a plot, performed by a cast of exceptional male dancers with live singing and a lot of charm. It throws out the story of the films to put the audience at the centre of a polished, high-energy party.

Yes, that is a big part of it. The staging surrounds the crowd and some guests are brought closer to the action, but it is always playful and good-natured rather than forced, and it is a big reason the show is such fun in a group.

It is cheeky, sexy and full of tease, which is why it admits adults only. That said, it is polished, witty and charming rather than crude or explicit, leaning far more on skill and showmanship than shock.

It is one of London's go-to shows for exactly that. It is designed as the ultimate girls' night out, and groups celebrating a birthday or a hen do are right at the heart of the crowd.

The action happens all around an intimate space, so seats closer in put you in the thick of the party while those a little further back take in the whole picture. You can compare every price band when you pick your seats above.
