One of the most electrifying rock operas ever written extends its record-breaking West End run into the winter. After a sell-out summer at the London Palladium, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Jesus Christ Superstar transfers to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in the Olivier Award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production - directed by Tim Sheader, choreographed by Drew McOnie and designed by Tom Scutt - for a strictly limited season with a 19-piece live orchestra.

Told through the eyes of Judas Iscariot, the show follows the final days of Jesus Christ, questioning faith, fame and betrayal against a soaring score that includes “Gethsemane,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” and the title anthem “Superstar.” First staged in Regent’s Park in 2016, this acclaimed staging won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.

Eurovision star Sam Ryder continues in the title role, with Olivier-nominated Tyrone Huntley as Judas, Desmonda Cathabel as Mary Magdalene and David Thaxton as Pontius Pilate.
