A Christmas Carol returns to the Old Vic for its annual winter season, in the acclaimed staging adapted by Jack Thorne and directed by Matthew Warchus. Charles Dickens’s timeless ghost story follows the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghost of his late business partner and by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.
Designed by Rob Howell and staged in the round, the immersive production fills the auditorium with carols, handbells, mince pies and festive spirit, turning a night at the theatre into a full Christmas celebration.
The production runs for approximately 2 hours, including one interval, and is suitable for ages 8 and above.
