After more than 40 years away from live performance, Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Frida have created something entirely new: a concert experience in which digital versions of themselves - captured using the most advanced motion-capture technology ever deployed in entertainment - perform for their fans as they were in their 1970s prime.

Backed by a live band of today’s finest musicians inside the purpose-built ABBA Arena, this is the greatest ABBA performance the world has never seen - until now. It isn’t a hologram show. It isn’t a tribute act. It is, by any measure, something that has never existed before.

The show draws on five decades of one of the greatest catalogues in pop music - from the early Swedish hits through the imperial phase of Waterloo, Dancing Queen and The Winner Takes It All, right up to I Still Have Faith in You and Don’t Shut Me Down from their 2021 comeback album Voyage.

Are the real members of ABBA on stage?

Is it just a hologram show?

No, and the makers are keen to stress it. It is a new kind of concert built from motion-captured performances rather than simple holograms, projected at a scale and clarity that has repeatedly fooled first-time audiences into thinking the band is really there.

Should I choose the dance floor or a seat?

Both are great, but they are different nights. The standing dance floor puts you in a party atmosphere right by the stage, while the tiered seating gives a comfortable, full view of the visuals. You can compare the standing and seated options when you book above.

Is it suitable for children and all ages?

It is recommended for ages six and up and plays as a joyful, all-ages party. Younger children are welcome with the family, though the volume and crowds of a live concert are worth bearing in mind for the very young.

What is the ABBA Arena like, and how do I get there?

It is a purpose-built arena at Pudding Mill Lane in east London, a short step from the DLR and close to Stratford. It was constructed specifically for this show, so the sound and sightlines are designed around it rather than squeezed into an old venue.

Is it worth it if I am only a casual ABBA fan?
