The stage production of Mary Poppins is based on P.L. Traver’s books about an English nanny with magical powers that looks after the Banks children. She is most lovingly remembered by her parrot umbrella which allows her to transport wherever she likes. While firm and respectful, Mary Poppins is also incredibly warm and charming in everything she does. She wants the children she looks after to be the best they can be and teaches valuable lessons throughout the product that are good reminders for children and adults alike.

The musical was amazing from start to finish. The costumes were beautiful and fitted like a pin. The back drops were also lovely. First class performers and special effects. We have recommended this show to everyone we speak to since. The queue outside to get into the theatre is lengthy but it does move quickly. There was a 30 minute delay due to a technical issue however the staff were great at walking up and down the queue to keep us informed. Inside gets very congested, there isn't much room to move around. The bar is also very busy and we were unable to get served during the interval of the show. It would be nice to see other stalls selling soft drinks, crisps and popcorn. Overall we had a fantastic visit and we would certainly return again. read less

The theatre staff helped us massively. We booked tickets for the 2:30 pm performance and were stuck on the train for 3 hours due to the fire. When we called to the theatre and described our desperate and disappointing situation, their response was immediate and prompt. They not only changed our tickets to the 7:30 pm show but went the extra mile and contacted the 3rd party who we booked tickets with. I am so grateful for their kindness and extreme willingness to help! They resqued our day in London!
