Hugo Boss has had a store on Regent Street for almost two decades, but in 2015 it upgraded to a new, 15,000 square-feet flagship housing both menswear and womenswear. Now able to encompass even more product categories, the women’s department contains shoes, accessories, and fragrance, while the men’s department is offering made-to-measure for the first time.
The bespoke service allows gentleman the opportunity to choose every detail of their suit, from the fabric to the pocket square, as well as have it properly fitted. You’ll be in good company too, as the German brand designs the official club suits for the Liverpool FC team and David Beckham’s waxwork in Madame Tussauds is also kitted out in Hugo Boss.
A personal shopping service is available to give you a tailored experience and help you make the best possible purchases. Following an initial consultation to understand your needs, you’ll be presented with a pre-selected range from the Hugo Boss collection to browse and try on, with no time restriction and no obligation to buy.
Founded in 1924 by the brand’s namesake, the company originally made uniforms, making them well placed to move into the classic attire of City workers, the suit, after the founder’s death in 1948. Attracting a younger, trendier audience, its sunglasses and fragrances have almost outshone its signature product as a more accessible way for customers to buy into the luxury of their top end lines.
With American fashion darling Jason Wu heading up the womenswear division as Creative Director, it has revived interest in the brand, particularly for their occasionwear which has been spotted on some of the designer’s favourite clients including Michelle Obama, Gigi Hadid, and Kylie Jenner.
The interiors of the store are as sharp as the suiting with geometric black outlines of railings and display cases that pop against the light grey floors and walls. Glass shards drip unevenly from the central light fixture fusing minimalism with luxury.
