Huishan Zhang

Rising Chinese fashion star, Huishan Zhang launched his label in London in 2011 and opened his flagship store on Mount Street in 2017. A regular on the London Fashion Week catwalks, Huishan Zhang is stocked in some of the world’s most famous department stores. Their Mount Street store is home to the only standalone boutique for the brand, where you can truly experience the essence of the label.

The store is an homage to Zhang’s Chinese heritage and London home, a common theme in the clothes themselves. The space is inspired by Chinese gardens and incorporates symbolism from the designer’s home country, such as an archway in a figure of 8, a lucky number in China. Specially commissioned tiles depicting real flowers from English gardens were created by artist Rachel Dein , combining the natural beauty of the two countries. The designer has his studio above the store, enabling customers to meet with him to discuss bespoke orders by appointment.

The store is also reflective of the designer’s feminine approach to womenswear, you’ll also find nods to his time training in Dior’s haute couture atelier. Zhang trained at the prestigious Central Saint Martins and has received much industry praise since launching his collection including being a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2015.

The brand produces four collections per year and covers a full ready-to-wear offering spanning daywear and eveningwear often making use of floral motifs, bows, sheer fabrics and pastel colours in a way that feels modern and glamorous.
