Alfred Dunhill

One of the most recognisable British designer menswear brands around the world, Dunhill opened its first store on Duke Street in 1907, later expanding onto Jermyn Street, where it remains today. From inheriting his father’s tarpaulin, blinds, and equine goods business in 1893, to being one of the first to make accessories for the new motoring craze, to helping it to grow into the multi-category luxury fashion brand it is today, Alfred Dunhill was one of the greats. His understanding of what modern men want and dedication to quality live on through their full range of tailoring, casual wear, leather goods, writing instruments, eyewear, jewellery, lighters, watches, gifts, and games.

Bags and leather accessories for the brand are still manufactured by hand in their workshop in Walthamstow, East London. An average of 30 hours goes into every product, expertly worked on by experienced craftsmen, some of whom have worked with Dunhill for three decades. Bespoke leather goods can be ordered from the store too and will be handled by the Walthamstow workshop.

In homage to its roots making ‘motorities’ such as car parts, driving goggles, and leather coats at a time when there were only a few cars on the road, Dunhill proudly sponsors a number of vintage car rallies, particularly Rally Nippon in Japan. They also partner with the golfing world and host the annual Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

A strictly men’s only offering, a glossy black store front and canopied entrance greets you at Jermyn Street. Inside, the oak lined floors and display cabinets set the tone for quality, craftsmanship and refined taste.
