Proudly London-owned and Italian-made, Harrys of London brings style and innovation to the men’s shoe selection at Burlington Arcade. A perfect balance between innovative new materials and sleek design have been a recipe for success for the Chelsea-based brand who has grown a loyal following through their prestigious stockists across four continents.
The brand’s signature is their Windsurf rubber sole, exclusively developed in partnership with Vibram® in Italy. Using material designed for windsurfing shoes, they adapted the technology to be suitable for the London streets, particularly on wet days, in both style and practicality. The result is a shoe sole that is flexible, has high abrasion resistance and offers great traction. With the success of this they went on to develop Vibram® Bareluxe®, a special sole to make it feel like you’re running or walking barefoot and improves your technique, and an inner sole with Technogel® for next level comfort.
While this type of technological innovation in footwear is often reserved for the sports industry, Harrys of London offers these enhancements across sneakers, loafers, Derbys, Oxfords, boots, and driving shoes. You can also purchase their Technogel® innersoles individually. Accessories including overnight bags, briefcases, wallets, passport holders, socks, and belts complete the range for a full lifestyle offering.
At their only UK standalone store, a complimentary shoe shine service is available on all their own styles and they take special orders on a selection of styles which can be adapted in new colours and materials, including exotic leathers.
The design of the store, overseen by Christian Lahoude Studio, epitomises the mix of their roots in luxury London, referencing the historical gentleman’s clubs and hotels of the West End, with their philosophy of future-looking innovation for modern men. Classic herringbone features on the back of modular display cases, inspired by Harrys of London shoe boxes, and in the wood flooring, against a modish grey backdrop. You’ll also spy their brand emblem, a heron, a symbol of British wit, etched on mirrors.
