German heritage retailer Wempe offers an extensive collection of timepieces and gems at its New Bond Street boutique. The store is one of only seven stores outside of Germany and has been on the street for almost 20 years. Brands stocked include Rolex, Patek Philippe, Hublot, Longines, Breitling and its own brands, Wempe Glashütte and Wempe Jewelry. With such a choice, they’ll help you find the right piece for you, selected from the best Swiss and German makers. You’ll also find writing instruments, lighters, cufflinks and watch winders at the store.

An extensive range of services is also available at the boutique. From jewellery cleaning and polishing to creating a bespoke design, or remodelling a treasured piece, Wempe has it covered. A number of repairs and services can be done in store, and you’ll be able to see them working from the shop floor, or for more intensive services it will be sent to their atelier in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

The company is proud of its humble roots in 1878 when Gerhard Wempe opened a watch shop in his aunt’s house in a small Saxony town called Elsfleth. Today the company is in the hands of the fourth generation of the Wempe family.

The store underwent a €1.7million refurbishment in 2018 which expanded the space, giving it a lighter, airier feel, and put the after-care service more prominently in the store to show that their relationship with their customers doesn’t end once they’ve made a purchase.
