The Bond Street store of British luxury fashion house Stella McCartney is one of the most carefully thought through designs on the street. Not just a physical manifestation of the brand in its design, its sustainability credentials have been meticulously considered too in line with their cruelty-free, environmentally-friendly philosophy.
Through the Edwardian entranceway you’ll find the full selection of womenswear, menswear, accessories, lingerie, swimwear, eyewear, fragrances and the Adidas by Stella McCartney range across four floors. Many of the materials used in the boutique are handmade, organic or sustainably-sourced while retaining a luxurious feel. Decorative wall panels on the first floor have been made from paper-mâché using waste paper from head office and much of the furniture is vintage. As well as visiting to check out the new season collections, you may also want to pop in for some fresh air. Stella McCartney at 23 Old Bond Street is the first commercial space in London with clean air thanks to a state-of-the art filtering system. A soundscape created by Paul McCartney is also part of the multisensory experience at this store to truly immerse yourself in a world away from the hustle and bustle outside it.
To truly experience the brand, head for the concealed door on the second floor to access the “Members and Non-Members Only” club. The M&NMO space has a rotation concept exploring different elements of the Stella McCartney brand in a space adorned with personal family photos and furniture. You’ll also find limited edition merchandise and items available for personalisation.
