Saint Laurent
32-33 Old Bond Street
In 1969, Yves Saint Laurent opened the store on London’s Bond Street himself, just eight years after launching his brand. Today, under the rebranded name Saint Laurent and the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello the store is one of the brand’s most important shopping destinations.
Decked out in black and white marble and floor-to-ceiling mirrors, the monochrome design provides a futuristic yet luxurious setting for the men’s and women’s collections, drenched in light from the front store windows. Split across three floors the selection of products includes shoes and bags too. Appointments are available to book if you require special assistance.
The Yves Saint Laurent brand has been known for its modern take on Parisian chic for almost six decades. Yves Saint Laurent was one of the true design geniuses of the 20th century having taken over as creative director of Dior at just 21 years old. He went on to shock the establishment with his irreverent takes on haute couture and, after launching his own brand, invented the concept of luxury ready-to-wear. The Le Smoking tuxedo jacket is one of the brand’s most iconic products for its masculine take on womenswear. Today, it retains some of that rock ‘n’ roll character while being an iconic global brand and one of the most watched names on the Paris Fashion Week schedule. Some of the many famous fans of the brand include Lady Gaga, Courtney Love, Angelina Jolie and Adam Levine.
