Entering the store via a small bridge, the Louis Vuitton Maison on New Bond Street takes you away from the street and into their world.
Housing both their womenswear and menswear, as well as their hugely popular leather goods, jewellery, watches, shoes and accessories, the three-storey boutique is a shopping haven with much more than just fashion. Celebrating their love of culture, the Librairie on the first floor offers the best in contemporary British art tomes and special art commissions from world-renowned names such as Anish Kapoor, Gary Hume and Chris Ofili.
Art is, in fact, at every turn of the boutique that sits on the corner with Clifford Street, boasting a collection that includes modern marvels Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Gilbert and George, and Richard Prince.
Exceptional service is on hand too. The maison offers made-to-order shoes, repairs, an invite-only VIP shopping apartment, and Mon Monogram and Mon Damier Graphite personalisation.
Golden chainmail lines the windows and walls, perfectly complementing the vintage Louis Vuitton luggage that sits alongside the newest offerings, bringing heritage and modernity to life in a space made to evoke your emotions.
The lower ground floor, dedicated to menswear, includes a ‘club area’ for relaxing, while the beauty area includes one of the newest additions to the Louis Vuitton family, fragrance fountains, where you can refill your favourite bottle of LV perfume. The charming bag bar is worth a visit alone for its revolving display, tempting you with every move.
If you’re very lucky, you may spot a celebrity or two shopping in the maison. Fans of the brand include Gwyneth Paltrow and Elle McPherson who made an appearance at the store’s glittering opening in 2010.
